Important: Google Play Games profile holds the data for any new activity. It’s tracked directly by Play Games and this is separate from “Web & App Activity” data.
Web & App Activity saves information like your searches and activity from Google services in your Google Account to provide you more personalized experiences.
If you turn on "Web & App Activity," it will continue to save information, including information about your game activity, regardless of your settings on Google Play Games profile.
If you make changes in one place, it won’t change in the other place. Here’s how to control both:
Google Play Games data:
-
You can delete data for specific games or permanently delete your entire Play Games profile. You can do this in your Play Games profile settings.
-
If you delete data here, it removes it from your Play Games profile. It doesn’t delete it from your Google Account's Web & App Activity.
Web and App Activity data:
-
If you have "Web & App Activity" turned on in your Google Account, it continues to save your game activity and other app or web usage.
-
You can find or delete your Web & App Activity at any time from your My Google Activity page.
-
If you delete activity from My Google Activity, it removes it from your Web & App Activity records.
